Are those universal air springs that you can put to replace any 2-1/4" (or 2-1/2") spring over the damper? If yes where can you find those?

How much room does the compressor and tank take up? What are options if no air suspension parts are made for your car?

Does air suspension affect body roll?

You do realize “AMA” comes with an unwritten expectation of a reply, even if it doesn’t qualify as an answer... although I understand how you could be unavoidably distracted by all the shiny new toys, but I only Kinja once a day and tomorrow I’m going to have to scroll all the way back to here and now find out!

It depends on your setup, most setups now have individual corner valving. Front, back, side to side adjustability, so body roll just depends on your corner pressure, and dampening settings

Really old systems had 2 valve systems for front and back. These 2 valve systems had your average boat like feel and had the body roll of an old 70s barge. But dampening and anti roll bars keep it from being dangerous.

The room a tank takes up all depends on the capacity and style you choose. you can have what they call a pancake tank that usually fits in most people’s spare tire well with no issues.

There are hotdog tanks that take up a minimum amount of depth in the trunk, but are long.

So, for my car, there are no specific air struts made for my car, but since its a honda/acura, there are a lot of interchangeable suspension parts. Im sure the same is the case for most manufacturers. For instance. My car has the same strut size and diameter of the TL and the TSX, and the top mount has the same bolt pattern and distance as the Legend. So i called Ksport and asked them for a TSX kit, with Legend top mounts. They were happy to comply with my request for an extra $50.

Mine are actually air sleeves, and they came with the struts as a kit.

Well it could be because the tank looks way too small for the size of the vehicle.

It could also be because at highway speeds anyway, it lowers itself a half inch, but doesn’t make mention if it adjusts the dampening as well. It doesnt say whether it makes any dampening adjustments whether raising or lowering the car, and whenever possible, you want to match the dampening to the spring rate, or PSI in this case... otherwise, you will get a ride worse than cut springs on stock shocks....

By the looks of it, the compressor seems like its way too far from the tank, and with so much line, and so many fittings, it can be a PITA to find leaks and imperfections in the system, and trying to route it away from heat sources must be impossible!

Yea, except for when you blow a line.

When you blow a hydro line, it isnt exactly something you can fix on the side of the road.

As long as you got a couple spare parts, that happen to be pretty inexpensive, fixing a blown air line is fairly simple.

I know from my own stupidity and experience. LOL

Most sleeve type air springs don’t have any provision to put the damper through. So far this resembles yours the most that I have been able to find. They are not identical but pretty close. They are $63 in Aliexpress.

Review yours when you get them installed.

You might just found what Ksport/D2/Air force/etc and the other companies that have factories in taiwan use! The only noticeable difference might just be that silver cone, but it could just be the angle of the pic vs the angle of my pics. Plus, part of my sleeves are rolled down over a good portion of that silver cone, so this is probably exactly what I have on my kit.

I’ve had my air suspension installed for over 5 years now (those are pics from 2011)

It rides great, the shocks that came with are 36 way adjustable, so dialing them in and getting the right settings and finding that sweet spot is totally achievable. It helps if you know your weight distribution of your car when dialing in the settings.
